Orion Wilcox

Orion Wilcox has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2014, they worked as a Protection Unit Intern at UNRWA. In 2015, they held multiple roles including Intake Volunteer at the International Refugee Assistance Project, Arabic-English Translator at Industry Arabic, and Staff Reporter at Syria Direct. They also served as a Managing Director at Syria Direct from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Social Media Analyst II at Ntrepid Corp. From 2018 to 2019, they held the position of Program Officer, Middle East at IREX. In 2019, they joined DT Global as a Research Analyst, and later became a Research Manager from 2021 to 2022. Starting in 2021, they took on the role of a Foreign Language & Area Studies Fellow (Arabic) at The George Washington University. Their most recent position is as a Senior Analytics Manager at Fraym, starting in 2022.

They completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at the University of Mississippi from 2010 to 2014. In 2019, Orion enrolled in the University of California, Davis, where they completed a specialization in Geographic Information Systems in 2020. Their educational journey continued with a Master's degree program at The George Washington University, specializing in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
