Wang Sheng Pei is a Data Engineer at Fraym since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Syracuse University from October 2020 to December 2021. They also had a role as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science from January 2020 to April 2020, where they developed a data product and collaborated with other fellows on various projects. Wang Sheng Pei worked as a Data Science Intern and Doctoral Student & Research Assistant at Syracuse University from September 2019 to December 2019, and from August 2017 to August 2019 respectively. They gained experience in analyzing institutional data, designing experiments, and analyzing genetic variation. They also published their findings in peer-reviewed journals and coached undergraduate students. Wang Sheng Pei served as the Predisdent of the Graduate Council at the AMERICAN SOCIETY OF NATURALISTS from January 2019 to December 2019. They also worked as a Student Researcher and Field Assistant at the University of California, Davis in 2013, where they studied the population dynamics of a native bee species and estimated their ecological impact as pollinators.
Wang Sheng Pei pursued a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Davis, from 2010 to 2014. Afterwards, they embarked on their doctoral studies at Syracuse University, specializing in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2020.
