Brian Dermott

As a Partner in Frazier & Deeter’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, Brian Dermott leads a team of transaction professionals in the execution of financial due diligence on behalf of private equity groups and strategic corporate buyers. Brian has over 13 years of diversified financial leadership experience, including public accounting and executive leadership of a high-growth private equity platform investment.

Having previously served as the Chief Financial Officer and Business Unit Leader of FM Expressions, a private equity backed manufacturer and e-commerce retailer, Brian brings operational experience and a practical business acumen to his consulting engagements. Brian led FM Expressions’ financial strategy, including board and bank financial reporting, mergers and acquisition analysis, organic corporate development, budgeting and forecast development and supply chain management.

Prior to his Chief Financial Officer experience, Brian led financial advisory services teams at other national accounting and consulting firms, serving a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution, technology and healthcare. Brian also has significant experience on post-close accounting and implementation matters, including opening balance sheet analysis and development of reporting and KPI tools.

Brian graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy and is an active North Carolina certified public accountant.
