Fred Hutch
Carrie Wright is a highly experienced researcher in the field of biomedical sciences. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Fred Hutch since July 2022, Carrie has also contributed as an Associate Faculty Member and Assistant Scientist at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health since September 2019. Prior to this, a postdoctoral research fellow at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development focused on the expression of candidate risk genes in mental health disorders, utilizing RNA sequencing techniques. Additionally, graduate research at The University of New Mexico explored the role of miR-137 in schizophrenia. Carrie holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Chemistry from The University of New Mexico.
