Michael Emerman is a prominent member and professor at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where tenure began in August 1989 and continues to the present day. Emerman served as Editor-in-Chief for the journal Virology from January 2013 to December 2019 and as an Associate Editor for PLOS Pathogens between 2007 and January 2013. Additionally, Emerman held the position of FHCRC Director for the Molecular and Cellular Biology Graduate Program at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center from 2006 to January 2013. Michael Emerman earned a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University.
