David Wilson

David Wilson is a seasoned software engineering leader with over 25 years of experience in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Software Engineering at Freddie Mac since July 2008, David manages a $45M annual initiative budget and leads approximately 200 developers in delivering critical applications for the secondary mortgage market. Previously, David held roles including Sr Director and Sr Manager at Freddie Mac, overseeing significant software development projects with budgets up to $40M and teams of up to 50 professionals. Prior experience includes leadership positions at ATPCO and Capital One, where David directed application development efforts and financial system implementations. David holds a Master of Science in Management of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia.
