The Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI) is a non-profit organization created for local entrepreneurs seeking offices, laboratory facilities, and entrepreneurial support services.  FITCI’s main goal is to foster entrepreneurship in Frederick County and accelerate the development of commercial viable businesses, while generating continued job growth.

Founded in 2004 in a public-private partnership, FITCI is supported by the Frederick County, City of Frederick, State of Maryland (Department of Business & Economic Development-DBED), Maryland Technology   Development Corporation (TEDCO), and the local business community.

Located at 4539 Metropolitan Court in Frederick, FITCI is home to a number of emerging biotechnology and information technology companies.   Today, FITCI stands as a major success story of how private/public business partnerships can successfully work to meet the public sector goals while  operating efficiently and cost effectively in the private sector.
