Chuck Cornell

Chuck Cornell is an experienced leader in community engagement and economic development. Currently serving as the Director of the SUNY Fredonia Center for Innovation and Economic Development since August 2014, Cornell also holds the position of Director for the Center for Regional Advancement at SUNY Fredonia, focusing on enhancing regional vitality through collaboration with local communities. Previously, Cornell was a County Legislator in Chautauqua County, where leadership roles included Majority Leader and Chair of the Planning and Economic Development Committee. Additionally, Cornell served as Communications Director and Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Carl Levin during the senator's re-election campaign. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Public Administration from the University at Albany, a Bachelor’s in Management from SUNY Geneseo, and an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Jamestown Community College.
