David Stringham

Dean, School Of Music, State University Of New York At Fredonia at Fredonia

David Stringham serves as the Dean of the School of Music at the State University of New York at Fredonia since May 2023. Prior to this role, David Stringham held multiple positions at James Madison University from August 2010, including Executive Director of the Office of Creative Propulsion, Professor of Music, and Director of Research, Entrepreneurship, and Engagement at the JMU College of Visual and Performing Arts. Additional experience includes teaching instrumental music at Greece Central School District and Williamsville Central Schools between 2004 and 2009. David Stringham holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, where a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education were also obtained. Leadership development was pursued through the IMPACT3 program at James Madison University.
