Alistair Sutherland

Alistair Sutherland is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in product engineering and team management across various companies. At FreeAgent, Alistair held the position of Head of Product Engineering and progressed through roles including Group Engineering Manager and Senior Engineering Manager in the banking sector. Prior to FreeAgent, Alistair served as Software Engineering Manager at OVO Energy, where responsibilities included leading cross-functional squads for core insurance platform development. As Co-founder and CTO of Square Book Limited, Alistair directed engineering functions and developed cloud infrastructure. Experience also includes serving as Technical Director at SNX Systems Limited and Lead/Advisory Software Engineer at Pitney Bowes Software, focusing on engineering processes and product development. Alistair earned a BEng (Hons) in Software Engineering from The University of Edinburgh.
