Dave Evans

Dave Evans is an accomplished expert in data engineering and analytics, currently serving as the Head of Data Engineering at FreeAgent since June 2013. Prior roles at FreeAgent include Group Engineering Manager for Analytics and Data Science and Engineering Team Lead for Analytics. Evans previously contributed to significant research as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Diego from January 2009 to 2013, where involvement as the leading author in the observation of the Higgs boson resulted in over 650 citations. In this role, Evans also led small teams to create innovative data reduction workflows for the analysis of multi-petabyte datasets. Educational achievements include a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics and an MSci in Physics with Astrophysics, both obtained from the University of Bristol.
