Freedom Communities is focused – on the geographic area we serve and on
evidence-based models that work. We serve individuals and families – mostly
single moms – in one specific region: Charlotte’s Freedom Drive (28208)
corridor. Limiting our service area allows us to offer individualized coaching.
Integrating programming with infrastructure investments maximizes our impact.
We address the harsh reality that, of our nation's 50 largest cities, a child born
into poverty in Charlotte has the least amount of potential for upward mobility.

We invest in infrastructure and people. Not only are we involved in developing
new, for-rent, affordable housing and creating low-income homeownership
opportunities, we also provide opportunities for people to secure better
employment and higher wages, strengthen their families and realize their full
potential.
