Freedom Development is a commercial real estate investment company.  We provide equity capital for the development, re-development, acquisition and ownership of multifamily and mixed-use communities in and around the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Established in 2010, Freedom Development seeks out properties with strong, in-place, cash flows and the potential to produce significant capital gains.  The Company invests primarily in multi-family housing properties that are available at a discount to construction cost, generate significant current income and hold strong value-addition potential through renovation or re-development.  

Our investment strategy is to work in partnership with highly experienced regional developers that provide deal flow, underwriting expertise and management services; we provide cash equity on a deal-by-deal basis.  Generally, we seek to purchase older, established multi-family properties that are near expanding employment centers and convenient to transportation, recreation areas, entertainment, shopping and dining facilities.  

Our principal financial goal is to increase long-term value through the development, redevelopment, acquisition, operation, and when appropriate, disposition of apartments in our market.  When we undertake the re-development of a community, our goal is to renovate and/or rebuild an existing community so that our total investment is generally below replacement cost and the community is well positioned in the market to achieve attractive returns on our capital.
