Bert Buchanan

Bert Buchanan serves as the Sr. Principal Architect at Freedom Mobile since July 2020, specializing in technology strategy for retail channels across over 700 locations and providing secure, cloud-based architecture solutions. Concurrently, Bert has held the role of President of the Board of Directors for Ocean Club Condominium since May 2017, overseeing operations of a $3MM business managing approximately 500 high-end waterfront condominiums. As Vice President and CTO of JBA Buchanan Consulting, Bert directs independent consulting efforts across various sectors including banking, insurance, and telecommunications. Previous positions include roles as Sr. Solution Architect at People Corporation, Pre-Sales Solution Architect at DXC Technology, and multiple director-level positions at TD Bank, RBC, CGI, CIBC, and Bank of Montreal. Bert holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Psychology from the University of Manitoba, along with TOGAF 9 LII certification in Enterprise Architecture and a degree in Business Administration from George Brown College.
