Lead Mechanical Engineer at Freeform

Grady Wagner has worked in various positions throughout their career. Grady started at the University of Pittsburgh as a Researcher in December 2014. In January 2015, they became a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech in the DREAMS Lab. Grady then joined SpaceX in August 2015 as a Propulsion Intern in Liquid Engine Development. In August 2016, they continued their research work as a Research Assistant at Virginia Tech's Turbomachinery and Propulsion Lab, where they also served as the Lead Engineer for the Dream Machine project. Grady returned to SpaceX in July 2017 as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer, and later became a Sr. Additive Manufacturing Engineer from June 2020 to March 2022. Grady briefly served as a Sr. Propulsion Engineer from March 2022 to May 2022. Currently, Grady is employed at Freeform as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, and will transition into the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer in December 2022.

Grady Wagner attended Virginia Tech from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2014, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at Griffith University, focusing on Mechanical Engineering.
