Gary Galván

Dr. Gary Galván is the Music Special Collections Curator at the Free Library of Philadelphia, where they oversee significant collections, including the Edwin A. Fleisher Collection of Orchestral Music. They host and produce the "Fleisher Discoveries" podcast and manage various critical editions in collaboration with Clint Nieweg's Proof-Purfect Research LLC. Dr. Galván has presented research on twentieth-century Pan American orchestral music at numerous national and international conferences and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. They previously held teaching positions at Elizabethtown College, University of Florida, Temple University, and La Salle University. Dr. Galván is currently working on the book "From Cradle to Grave: Edwin Fleisher and the Pan American Symphonic Coming of Age."
