Chief Of Adult Services And Programs at Free Library of Philadelphia

Veronica Britto has a diverse work experience in the library and education fields. Veronica started their career as a Library Assistant in the Children's Services at Cheltenham Township Library System in 2002. Veronica then volunteered as a Youth Worker and Mentor for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America from 2002 to 2015. In 2004, they joined the Free Library of Philadelphia as a Librarian II in Children's Services and served in that role until 2011. Veronica was then promoted to Branch Manager and later transitioned to become an Administrative Librarian, where they managed a cluster of six neighborhood libraries. Currently, they are serving as the Interim Chief of Neighborhood Libraries and the Chief of Adult Services and Programs at the Free Library of Philadelphia, overseeing various library programs and services. Veronica also worked as an Education Coordinator and Marketing Assistant for Evergreen Youth Television from 2000 to 2002.

Veronica Britto obtained a Master of Library & Information Science (M.L.I.S.) degree in the field of Library and Information Science from PennWest Clarion, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued a BHUM degree in Communication, Public Relations, and Media Production from Penn State University, completing their studies from 1995 to 1999. In 2013, Veronica participated in the Urban League Leadership Forum to enhance their knowledge in Organizational Leadership, although this did not result in a specific degree.
