Andy Dawson

Andy Dawson is a seasoned laboratory and facilities manager with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving at Freeline since August 2019, Andy previously held the role of senior bioskills laboratory specialist at Smith & Nephew, where responsibilities included providing laboratory support for surgical training and mentoring healthcare professionals. Prior to that, Andy worked as a production manager at DefiniGEN, specializing in human iPSC-derived cell production, and at RMS Innovations, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and participating in audits. Earlier career highlights include positions as a production technician at RMS Innovations UK Ltd, an R&D scientist at Lonza Biologics, and a research assistant at Thames Water plc. Andy holds a BSc degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Reading.
