John Moot

John Moot is a seasoned attorney with over forty years of experience in litigating complex commercial and business disputes, as well as various legal matters including fraud, directors and officers liability, and personal injury cases. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, John has substantial trial and appellate court experience, notably winning a unanimous decision in the California Supreme Court. John has actively contributed to public service, including a six-year tenure on the Chula Vista City Council and positions on various boards, such as the South County Economic Development Council. A fourth-generation attorney, John was recognized with the UCAN's Public Interest Attorney Award and has been honored on the University of San Diego's Center for Public Interest Law Wall of Fame.
