Derek Goff

Derek Goff is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in corporate taxation. Since April 1997, Derek has served as Vice President of Tax at The Freeman Company, where responsibilities include managing the Corporate Tax team and overseeing various tax areas such as income, sales and use, property tax, business licensing, and unclaimed property. Prior to this role, Derek held positions as Director and Assistant Director of Tax at the Dallas County Community College District, where teaching introductory cost accounting at Richland College provided an opportunity to share a passion for business with students. Earlier in the career at EY, Derek worked as a Senior Tax Accountant, serving a diverse clientele that included both small family-owned businesses and large publicly traded corporations. Derek holds a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, both from Texas A&M University.
