Amanda K.

Amanda K. is a Senior Manager in Molecular Research at Freenome since April 2023, bringing extensive experience in the biotechnology field. Prior to this role, Amanda served as a Staff Scientist on the Research/Horizon Team at Invitae from August 2019 to April 2023, focusing on enhancing precision medicine through innovative lab processes. At BioElectron Technology Corporation, from March 2016 to July 2019, Amanda led a group in developing small molecule therapeutics for complex medical conditions. Previous positions include Senior Scientist in Molecular Biology at FibroGen, where Amanda worked on genomic profiling related to prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors, and two postdoctoral and doctoral research roles at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in Neuroscience. Amanda’s early career includes teaching science at The Haverford School and coaching aquatic sports. Amanda holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco, and a BA in Biology from Columbia University.
