Bailey Munro

Bailey Munro is a Senior Research Associate in Development at Freenome, contributing to the Reagent Development team by designing and validating reagent QC assays for NGS components of diagnostic tests since July 2022. Previously, Bailey served as a Research Associate I at Plexium, focusing on developing an ultra-high-throughput cell-based RNA-Seq assay to screen small molecule libraries. Additionally, Bailey was a Study Group Leader at the Teaching + Learning Commons at UC San Diego, providing supplemental instruction for organic chemistry. Earlier research experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Researcher at both the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California San Diego, where work involved studying enzyme functions in immune cells and the role of DNA binding proteins. Bailey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego, obtained in 2021.
