Dan Hovelson

Dan Hovelson is an experienced bioinformatics scientist currently serving as an Independent Bioinformatics Consultant. With a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Michigan, Dan has held notable positions including Staff Computational Biologist at Freenome and Senior Bioinformatics Manager at Strata Oncology. Their expertise encompasses cancer genomics, precision oncology, and high-dimensional molecular profiling, driving clinical and translational cancer research efforts. Dan engages effectively with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality scientific results and is set to become a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Michigan in 2024.
