Nikil Wale

Nikil Wale has extensive experience in computational sciences and bioinformatics. Nikil currently holds the position of Senior Director of Research Bioinformatics and ML Engineering at Freenome since 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded and served as Vice President and later Senior Director of Computational Sciences at Qognit from 2016 to 2022. Nikil also worked as a Senior Computational Scientist at Nodality Inc from 2014 to 2016 and as a Computational Scientist from 2012 to 2014. Nikil began their career at Pfizer as a Sr Scientist from 2008 to 2012.

Nikil Wale holds a PhD in Computer Science with a minor in Bioinformatics from the University of Minnesota, which they earned from 2003 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Masters in Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from 2001 to 2005. Nikil began their education at the National Institute of Technology Warangal, where they obtained their Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from 1997 to 2001.
