Kathy Yang

Kathy Yang, CFA, currently serves as Principal Investment & Structuring at Freepoint Commodities since November 2022. Previously, Kathy held the position of Principal Investing & Commodity Finance at Hartree Partners from November 2019 to October 2022, focusing on private equity and private credit. Earlier experience includes roles as Market Risk Analyst at Goldman Sachs from March 2018 to November 2019 and Credit Analyst at Energetic Insurance in late 2017. Kathy began in the finance industry as a Risk Modeling Intern. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Finance from Brandeis School of Business and Economics, a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and a one-year exchange program at the University of Pennsylvania.
