Mark Lay

Mark Lay is an experienced managing director and founder with a diverse background in strategic market development, financial trading, and innovative technology solutions. Currently serving as Managing Director at Freepoint Commodities since March 2024, Mark focuses on new markets strategy and development. Mark previously founded Oso Negro, LLC, where Mark co-developed projects related to heavy metals extraction and CO2 capture technology. Mark held senior roles at ENN Energy Trading, contributing significantly to financial trading and risk management for LNG, and Mark has extensive experience building sustainable energy platforms through positions at Gavilon Group and Cedars Capital. Mark also held leadership roles at Enron, where Mark managed a substantial private equity portfolio, and co-founded Paper & Print Management, advancing market development strategies. Mark earned a B.A. in Economics from UCLA.
