Simone Runyon is an accomplished Exploration Geologist at Freeport-McMoRan since June 2022, with a robust academic background and extensive experience in economic geology. Previously, Simone served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wyoming from August 2018 to June 2022. Prior research experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Carnegie Geophysical Laboratory and various internships at Freeport-McMoRan and Nevada Copper Corp, where expertise in geological mapping and analysis was developed. Simone holds a Ph.D. and an MSc in Geosciences from the University of Arizona, in addition to a BS in Geology from Illinois State University.
