Chris Freeston

Chris Freeston is a Partner and the National Head of Commercial, as well as the Managing Partner of the Nottingham Office at Freeths LLP since 2006. Expertise lies in banking matters, particularly in property and project finance, with notable recent transactions including a £100m mortgage bond issue, restructuring of a £150m debt portfolio, and advising on a £30m facility for student accommodation development. Prior to joining Freeths LLP, Chris Freeston gained experience at Linklaters from 2000 to 2006, serving as a Trainee and later as an Associate focused on banking and project finance, including international transactions in energy and infrastructure. Education was completed at St Catharine's College, Cambridge University, followed by Nottingham Law School.
