James Dean is a Pensions Partner at Freeths and heads the Pensions Team. They are a strategic and responsive pensions lawyer with extensive experience advising trustees and employers on various pensions matters, including pension scheme investments and corporate transactions. James previously held the role of Partner at Simmons & Simmons from 2017 to 2025 and has also worked in senior associate positions at Osborne Clarke and Burges Salmon LLP. They earned their LLB from The University of Manchester from 1993 to 1996.
