Matthew Cooper

Matthew Cooper has extensive experience in the legal field, currently serving as Director at Freeths since September 2018, with a progression from Associate to Managing Associate. Prior to Freeths, Matthew worked at Pinsent Masons LLP for six years, specializing in international and domestic private M&A, equity capital markets, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate advisory work. Matthew's early career included a role as Analyst at City Financial Investment Company in 2010, and comprehensive training as a Trainee Solicitor covering corporate, real estate, infrastructure, projects, and disputes. Matthew holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from Durham University and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Reading, supplemented by a Legal Practice Course from The University of Law.
