Richard Coates

Richard Coates is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in commercial dispute resolution and litigation services. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution at Freeths LLP in Birmingham since February 2016, Coates also holds the position of National Head of Automotive. Prior to this role, Coates was Director of Litigation Services at Emms Gilmore Liberson from July 2012 to February 2016 and served as an Associate at Cobbetts LLP from September 2004 to June 2012. Coates began the legal career as a Trainee Solicitor at The Wilkes Partnership between 2002 and 2004. Academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law and an LL.B (Hons) in Law from the University of Hull.
