Danielle Dettling has a diverse work experience. Danielle began their career as a Team Member at Lerner Health and Wellness Center from 2012 to 2015, where they eventually became the Manager. During this time, they also volunteered with the National Park Service as a Volunteer Coordinator and Research Intern. In 2014, they were a Student Volunteer at the Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General. In 2015, they were a Communications Intern at the National Endowment for the Humanities. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Corps Member and Assistant Team Leader at AmeriCorps NCCC. In 2017, they were a Barista and Barista Trainer at Starbucks. In 2018, they were a Development and Communications Associate at Indigo Education Company. Since 2019, they have been a Content Team Lead, Content Team Manager, and Content Specialist at FreeWill, where they wrote unique fundraising content for over 300 nonprofit organizations, developed an onboarding program, internal editing system, and content strategies to improve the value of FreeWill's products.

Danielle Dettling obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from The George Washington University in 2016, after attending from 2012 to 2016. In 2014, they participated in the George Washington University Exchange Program at The University of Edinburgh. In 2017, Danielle earned a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from The New School, which they completed in 2019. Additionally, Danielle obtained a CPR certification in August 2015.
