FreeWorld's mission is to end generational poverty and recidivism through high-wage careers and asset ownership. 

We are an ed-tech nonprofit that believes no one should be judged by their worst mistake for the rest of their lives. 
Every single person deserves a second chance, but returning citizens face a mountain of barriers that make obtaining a living wage and providing for their families near impossible without help. 

Through the use of technology and automation, we can reach our participants anywhere in the country, and in less than two months, they can be in a high-wage career supporting themselves and their families. 

Finally, we collect the most comprehensive set of data of any organization in the criminal justice space. We do this so that we can leverage our outcomes data to help promote a change in the social narrative surrounding the formerly incarcerated. As we expand our program and data, we hope to use our proven success to drive real systemic change in the criminal justice system.

The Engineering team at FreeWorld designs and develops innovative technology solutions that support the organization’s mission to help returning citizens achieve high-wage careers. This interdisciplinary team, comprised of full stack engineers, a UX designer, and leadership, focuses on creating user-friendly platforms and automated systems that enhance participant engagement and streamline operations.
