David Corts

David Corts has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In 1996, they joined "@plan." as a Founding Partner and Client Service Manager, where they played multiple roles and helped develop the industry-standard planning software system for online advertising and marketing.

In 1999, they co-founded Impulse Radio and served as the Founder and CEO, overseeing the management and strategy of the company, which received $2.1 million in venture capital financing.

From 2003 to 2007, Corts worked at HCT Investments as the Managing Partner, focusing on developing, operating, and acquiring service-oriented businesses. During this time, they spearheaded the creation of Super Speed Wash, an express car wash, and raised $5 million in venture capital for its development.

In 2010, after StudioNow was acquired by AOL, Corts became the Vice President, Product and Operations, Content Platforms, where they led product strategy and execution for the newly formed Content Platforms division within AOL Media. David managed a team of six product directors and oversaw various media and AdTech products.

Corts then became the President and COO of StudioNow in June 2007, leading the product development, sales, and operations of the company until October 2019. David also played a key role in the spin-out of StudioNow from AOL and secured $6 million in external capital for the transaction.

In 2012, Corts served as a Board Member at Jamplify until 2017.

David'smost recent role is Chief Executive Officer at Octerra, a spin-out of StudioNow that focuses on innovation within the marketing procurement sector. David conceived the business plan, built the brand identity, developed the go-to-market strategy, and led the sales and service teams.

Additionally, in 2020, Corts took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at Fresh Technology LLC.

David Corts attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in Public Relations Journalism. In 1995, David also had the opportunity to study English Literature at the University of Amsterdam for a brief period. Prior to attending university, David Corts attended Montgomery Bell Academy, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
