Hernan Martinez

Hernan Martinez serves as the Food Safety Program Manager at FreshPoint, Inc. since February 2021, where responsibilities include executing corporate food safety strategies and maintaining communication across departments to identify hazards and improve processes. Previously, Hernan held the position of Quality Assurance Manager at Borden from April 2019 to February 2021, ensuring product safety and compliance with quality standards. At Mission Foods, from August 2017 to April 2019, Hernan managed the sanitation team and oversaw food safety programs. Hernan worked as a Retail Food Safety Auditor for NSF International from September 2015 to August 2017, conducting inspections and summarizing audit findings. Hernan began the career as a Quality Control Representative at Holsum de Puerto Rico, Inc., from October 2009 to August 2017, developing HACCP plans. Hernan holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Science from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Chemical Processes from the University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo Campus.
