Tony Smith

Tony Smith currently serves as Head of Service Management at Freshwave since March 2024. Prior to this role, Tony operated as a self-employed consultant at PlaidB Ltd, supporting co-founded business ventures in the UK and UAE from August 2017 to January 2024. Tony's extensive experience includes leadership positions such as Head of Operations Service Management at Mobile Broadband Network Ltd and Regional Manager Service Assurance at Millicom International Cellular (Tigo). Additionally, Tony founded and directed Smart HR, a consultancy and recruitment agency, and held key technical and management roles at Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, LCC ME, du, and UK Broadband. Educational qualifications were obtained from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies between 1982 and 1985.
