Karsten Young Andersen has extensive experience in data and information management. Karsten Young is currently working as the Head of Data at Frey, where they are responsible for developing and implementing the data and digital strategy. Karsten Young leads a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts to align business objectives with data and technology, increase margins, reduce risk, and generate new revenue streams. Karsten also has experience as a Senior Data Platform Architect at Innofactor Danmark, a Data Platform Product Owner at A.P. Moller - Maersk, and as the Head of Information Management at ATP. Additionally, they worked as a Business Analyst at Energi Danmark Group, where they focused on business analysis and the development of management information systems.
Karsten Young Andersen has a diverse education history. Karsten Young completed a Master of Science level single subject in Enterprise Architecture at IT-Universitetet i København in 2014, as well as a Master of Science level single subject in Software Architecture at the same institution in 2013. Before that, from 2007 to 2010, Karsten pursued an MSc. in Economics and Business Management at Aarhus University. Karsten Young also earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Management at Aarhus University from 2004 to 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Karsten has obtained certifications from Microsoft. In March 2021, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certification and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification.
