Melvin Juárez has a diverse work experience in software development and engineering. Melvin started their career at Debursa in 2016 as a Web Developer, where they designed and developed a Python backend and a hybrid mobile application. These applications were focused on reporting problems related to public transport, public employees, and street riots.

In 2017, Melvin joined CARI.net as a Software Developer, where they developed Python scripts for transforming and normalizing Excel reports. Melvin also designed and developed an API for managing the transformation of these reports and maintained WordPress pages.

In 2018, Melvin worked at Colplex - Plataforma Educativa as a Software Developer. Here, they were responsible for maintaining an educational platform and implemented a financial module for the platform.

From 2020 to 2021, Melvin worked at Seguros GYT in various roles. As a Senior Software Engineer, they designed and developed a service focused on the issuance of insurance policies on a massive scale. Melvin also migrated databases using ETL techniques. Later, as a Software Architect, Melvin implemented Liquibase in the development flow, improving tracking of changes in the database. Melvin enhanced knowledge sharing through newsletters, demos, and forums, while also improving API design for microservice architecture.

Currently, Melvin is working as a Backend Engineer at Fri.

Melvin Juárez attended Universidad Rafael Landívar from 2014 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained multiple certifications. In 2022, Melvin Juárez completed the certification course "Software Architecture: REST API Design - The Complete Guide" at Udemy. Melvin also completed the certification course "Apache Kafka Series - Kafka Streams for Data Processing" at Udemy in the same year. In 2021, they obtained the certification for "SOLID Principles: Introducing Software Architecture & Design" from Udemy. Furthermore, Melvin Juárez completed the certification course "Master Object Oriented Design in Java" at Udemy in 2020. In 2020, they also obtained the certification for "Usabilidad" from Platzi.
