We are a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission of Friends 4 the Future is to educate children and adolescents in making informed decisions that can have positive impacts on the quality of their lives today and in the future.

Friends 4 the Future envisions a population focused on individual accountability, community commitment, and global responsibility. Through current efforts to educate and inform children and adolescents on the positive energy they can generate from within, the critical thinking skills they can develop and refine, and the ability they have to gather information and make informed decisions, we believe today’s children and adolescents can take giant steps in creating a future focused on a common good through a healthy, happy lifestyle.

Purpose and Goals

The goal of Friends 4 the Future is to stop the destructive escalation of childhood obesity through educational efforts aimed at assisting children and adolescents in creating lifelong changes generating healthy eating habits, embracing hearty physical activities, and making positive lifestyle choices. 
 
We know many factors influence eating and physical activities of children and adolescents.  Schools and other educational settings can play a vital role in providing information, support, and opportunities for children and adolescents to learn and embrace healthy eating habits and healthy physical activity practices. However, health and physical education classes are continually being reduced, and in many cases eliminated from the school curriculum. The goal of Friends 4 the Future is to fill the void by providing children and adolescents with experiences to generate positive lifelong changes.
