Michael Gary

Michael Gary is an experienced educational leader currently serving as a Faculty Member at the Institute for New Heads since February 2022, and as Head of School at Friends Select School since June 2016. Michael holds board positions at The Athenaeum of Philadelphia and Trinity College-Hartford while also founding and presiding over Inner City Lacrosse, Inc., which focuses on mentoring inner-city youth through lacrosse. Previous roles include Director of Admissions at Phillips Exeter Academy, serving on the Board of Trustees at Pomfret School, and various board memberships, including the Secondary School Admissions Test organization. Michael's educational background includes a Master's degree in Administration and Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Trinity College-Hartford.
