Mitchell Lipton

Co-Director, College Guidance at FRISCH SCHOOL

Mr. Mitchell Lipton joined the Frisch faculty in January 2019 after working for twenty three years in higher education. He served as Vice President of Enrollment Services and Dean of Admissions at Cooper Union until 2018 and is excited to share his college admissions experience with the students and families of the Frisch community. While at Cooper Union, Mr. Lipton served in a range of leadership roles including membership within the President’s Cabinet, Academic Leadership Team, Academic Council, Academic Standards, and Curriculum and Admissions Committees. Mr. Lipton also served as the institutional Title IX Coordinator, Equal Opportunity Officer and member of the Revenue Task Force. He remains active with various state and national professional associations including NYSACAC, NACAC, The College Board, Rockefeller Group Scholarship Committee and Hendrick Hudson School District Project Lead The Way Advisory Team. Mr. Lipton earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration as a Robert F. Wagner Scholar at New York University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics, cum laude, from The State University of New York at Binghamton.
