Chris Sutherland

Chris Sutherland has extensive experience in community services and Aboriginal advocacy, currently serving as Aboriginal manager casework and Aboriginal consultant at NSW Department of Communities and Justice since March 2021, alongside duties as an on call/retained firefighter at Fire and Rescue NSW since May 2022. Previously, Chris spent over a decade at Youth Off The Streets, holding various roles including Director of Aboriginal Services, Manager, and Senior Youth Worker, starting as a trainee youth worker. Education includes a Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Trauma Recovery Practice from the University of Wollongong, a Diploma in Leadership and Management from BCA National Training Group, and additional training from TAFE NSW.
