René González has worked in various positions in the automation industry since 1998. René began their career as a Project Engineer at Empresa de Servicios Informáticos ESI, where they developed automation systems and programmed SCADA systems. In 2006, they moved to Empresa de Automatización Integral CEDAI as a Senior Project Engineer, where they were responsible for project management in automation and industrial software development. In 2009, they were promoted to General Manager of the same company. In 2010, they were appointed President of the Cuban Technical Committee of Automation at ISO International Organization for Standardization. In 2011, they returned to Empresa de Automatización Integral CEDAI as Senior Project Manager, where they conducted research and development projects in automation, industrial software, robotics, mechatronics, UAV, and sensors. In 2013, they moved to PDVSA Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. as Software Development Manager and Chief Adviser in automation. In 2018, they joined Front10 as Senior FrontEnd Architect, where they acted as a technical adviser, team leader, coder, and evangelist. René was responsible for all front end tasks including estimation, requirements gathering, advising, overseeing other developers, and directing the implementation. In 2019, they joined Krka Power Inc. as Automation Project Manager.
René González received their Engineer's degree in Automation from the Universidad Central de Las Viilas in 1998. René then went on to receive their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from the Central University of Las Villas in 2002, specializing in Robotics Technology/Technician. Finally, in 2012, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Central University of Las Villas.
