Ago Tikk has extensive experience in risk analysis and border management, having worked with the Police and Border Guard Board from January 2009 to October 2014 as the Head of the Risk Analysis Unit. After this role, Tikk continued to contribute to border management and risk analysis in various capacities with the Police and Border Guard Board of Estonia until September 2020. Tikk has served as a Risk Analyst in Frontex from November 2023 to October 2024, specializing in risk analysis and as a trainer in CIRAM. Additionally, Tikk is engaged with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) as a short-term expert in Risk Analysis and Contingency Planning for the Silk Road RBM project in Iraq. Tikk holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations/Politology from Euroülikool, obtained between 1999 and 2001.
