Francesca Lai

Francesca Lai is a seasoned legal and financial professional with extensive experience in both public policy and legal consultancy. Currently serving as a Senior Legal and Financial Assistant at Frontex since May 2021, Francesca previously held positions as a Legal and Policy Consultant at K&L Gates and as a Legal and Policy Assistant for the AFCO Committee at the European Parliament. Early career roles include work as a trainee lawyer at Studio Legale Deplano and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, along with experience in vocational training coordination and political affairs. Francesca possesses a Master of Arts in EU Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe and has pursued additional studies in Development Law and Human Rights. An alumnus of various prestigious institutions, Francesca demonstrates a strong commitment to legal and policy excellence.
