Jonas Grimheden

Jonas Grimheden is a specialist in international human rights and EU fundamental rights law, currently serving as the Fundamental Rights Officer and head of the fundamental rights office at Frontex. Previously, Jonas worked at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, where they held various roles, culminating as the Deputy Head of the Academic Department. Jonas has also contributed as a visiting scholar at several prestigious institutions, including Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and Niigata University. Between 2018 and 2021, they were a Programme Manager at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, focusing on supporting human rights systems. Jonas completed their studies at Lund University’s Faculty of Law and has a rich academic and practical background in human rights advocacy.
