Karol Okonski

Karol Okonski is the Director of the Security and Information Management Division at Frontex, where they lead initiatives related to information security, cybersecurity, and the development of ICT systems. Prior to this role, Karol served as Managing Director at PwC Polska, focusing on cybersecurity for public administration entities across Central and Eastern Europe. They held several high-ranking positions within the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs, including Deputy Minister and Government Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, overseeing strategic IT projects and national cybersecurity initiatives. Karol has a diverse background in IT management and has contributed to various international cybersecurity activities. They hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Gdańsk University of Technology.
