Carmelo Oquendo

Director, ISC (Process, Test and Manufacturing Engineering) at Frontgrade Technologies

Carmelo Oquendo has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Carmelo is currently working at Frontgrade Technologies as the Director of ISC (Process, Test, and Manufacturing Engineering) starting from March 2023. Prior to this, Carmelo held the position of Advanced Manufacturing Engineer IV - Space Division at Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions from January 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining Cobham, Carmelo worked at TCGplayer.com as the Process Engineer Manager OpEx and FC R&D Manager from September 2020 to February 2022. Carmelo also worked at Young & Franklin Tactair as the Master Production Scheduler from August 2019 to September 2020, and as the Senior Supply Chain Analyst from November 2018 to September 2020.

Carmelo also gained experience at Knowles Corporation, where they served as Sr. AME/RF Engineering from February 2018 to September 2020. Carmelo also worked as the Supplier Quality Engineer from September 2018 to November 2019, and as the Quality Engineer from June 2016 to November 2018.

Prior to that, Carmelo worked at Eaton as the Senior MVP Specialist from November 2014 to March 2016, Marquardt Switches, Inc. North America as the Process Engineer Lead from January 2013 to November 2014, Aeroflex as a Senior Electrical Engineer and Senior Manufacturing Engineer from November 2010 to January 2013, Honeywell Scanning and Mobility as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Process Engineer from March 2005 to December 2009, and Anaren as a Senior Electrical Engineer from May 2001 to March 2005.

Carmelo Oquendo completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Carmelo then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the same field at Syracuse University. Additionally, Carmelo obtained a degree in Business Analytics from Cornell University. Carmelo is currently studying Negotiations at Harvard University. Furthermore, they also hold a Master Black Belt/Lean Six Sigma certification from Villanova University.
