Carly Hoffmann

Carly Hoffmann's work experience starts with their current position as an IMPAACT Protocol Data Manager at Frontier Science & Technology Research Foundation, Inc. Here, they ensure data accuracy for various NIH funded clinical trials focused on evaluating interventions for HIV and other comorbidities in infants, children, and adolescents. Their responsibilities include developing and maintaining electronic case report forms, querying data inconsistencies, performing user acceptance testing, and creating and presenting team reports.

Prior to their current role, Carly worked as a Lab Manager at the University at Buffalo from September 2020 to July 2022. Under the supervision of Dr. Laertis Ikonomou, they investigated the gene regulatory network of lung cell fate decisions through in vitro cell culture and murine ex vivo systems.

Carly's previous experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Hunter College from August 2019 to May 2020, where they worked with Dr. Nesha Burghardt and Dr. Ekaterina Likhtik on investigating the effects of restraint stress on fear discrimination and the effects of curcumin on active place avoidance learning in mice.

Carly also worked as an Animal Caretaker & Dog Walker at Highland Pet Resort in July and August 2019, and held various positions at Ithaca College from 2017 to 2018, including Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, Undergraduate Research Assistant, and Health Center Lab & Office Assistant.

Carly completed an Animal Husbandry Internship at Hawk Creek Wildlife Center from June to August 2017.

Carly Hoffmann began their education at Ithaca College in 2015 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2019. During their undergraduate studies, they also pursued minors in Neuroscience and Women & Gender Studies. In 2019, Carly furthered their education at Hunter College, where they pursued non-degree Graduate Studies in the field of Animal Behavior & Conservation.
