Scott Appel

Scott Appel is the current President of Frontier Surfaces and has over 18 years of experience in the flooring industry. Prior to their current position, Scott served as the Co-Founder and CEO of Touch of Color Flooring from August 2003 to September 2021. During their time at Touch of Color Flooring, Scott grew the company to 70 million in annual sales, 210 employees, and over 300 installation crews. In September 2021, Scott sold their shares of the company and transitioned to their role as President of Frontier Surfaces.

From January 2016 to July 2017, Scott served as the CEO of Floors & More, a corporation with 80+ members including Big Bob's Flooring Outlet of Central PA, Floors and Kitchens Today, and Floor to Ceiling Brands. As CEO, Scott was responsible for the overall strategy, direction, and execution of the company.

In addition to their work in the flooring industry, Scott also has experience as a high school social studies teacher. Scott taught at Morris Hills Regional Education Association from August 2002 to August 2003.

Scott has also been involved with the World Floor Covering Association, serving on the Board of Directors from June 2012 to June 2017.

Scott Appel received a B.S. in Criminal Justice from the University of Scranton, an M.B.A. in Business Administration from Penn State University, and an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Scott also studied philosophy at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and the University of Oxford.

Scott Appel reports to Hannan Appel, CEO. Some individuals on their team include Jeff Weiss - VP of Operations, Falati "Fella" Hanapiah - Executive Assisstant, and Tom Triano - Director of Sales.
